Hellogoodbye

It really bothers me when people don't say bye to me on the phone. This is problematic because most Eastern culture doesn't call for a farewell for phone conversations.

Korean: 네 네 네 네~ -> yes yes yes yeeeeesssss (the last one is long) *click

Mandarin: 好好好好好好 -> okay okay okay okay okay okay *click

Japanese: はい. -> okay *click

After this happens I kind of stare at the phone wondering if I should call them back or not to ask them to say goodbye. My aunt in Taiwan does this to me all the time, so I have to call her back and tell her to say bye to me. Yes, I will call back internationally just to get my farewell. I am indeed a crazy person.

I only bring this up because my supervisor just hung up on me and I spent five minutes staring at my phone wondering if I should call him back or not. I realized that today is going to be my first day so, I probably shouldn't portray myself as a psycho and get fired this soon. I'm excited! I'll tell you guys how it goes. :)
